Welcome to the home for everything Guadalupe County 4-H! We will add pages as the year continues to try and keep everyone up to date on the latest 4-H information!
December marks half way through the 4-H year! Fall Roundup has just ended, and soon we will be going forward with County Stock Show, Major Shows, spring 4-H contests, scholarships and much more! This year, we have seen a lot of new faces at 4-H Club Meetings and events! We have seen projects return that were once big in this county, and we have so many youths involved in so much! We have two food challenge teams, four food show youths, and 10 educational presentation youths moving on to Texas 4-H Roundup in June! Our first poultry judging team for the county are now NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, after winning the national contest in Louisville in November! We took 3rd place in the National Wool Contest back in October, and so much more! Guadalupe County 4-H is doing well in 2025!
With that said, we need to continue to focus on our very most basic part of 4-H, the 4-H club! It is very important that you attend your monthly club meetings and find out what is going on in your county! To be considered a vested member of the 4-H program, you should be attending club meetings each month! If you have to miss here or there, that’s ok, but we need you to come to meetings so we can conduct business, elect officers, do projects and have fun! A meeting where no one attends is not much fun for those who do!
During the holiday season, many families will not have the money or the resources available to celebrate like they may like. I would ask you all if you are able to donate to a charity this month, donate food or clothes to food banks and food shelters. Adopt a family or participate in an activity like Angel Tree or Toys for Tots to help a kid or a family out! Pray for others, think of others, and help others out!
We wish y’all the Merriest of Christmases and a great new year! I look forward to continuing to work with y’all in 2026 and can’t wait to see what y’all are able to accomplish! GOOD JOB YOUTHS!
