Each team must supply their own equipment for the competition. Teams may bring only the supplies listed in the Sewing Supply kit list. Sewing Supply kits will be checked by contest officials as team’s check-in for the contest. Extra equipment will be confiscated, and the team may be disqualified if caught using equipment not on their supply list. KITS ARE AVAILABLE TO CHECK OUT FROM THE COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE!!! Categories: A 4–H member may compete in only ONE category for Storyboard. Categories include:
Wearable: Clothing that can be worn. Includes items such as pants, shorts, skirts, etc.
Accessory: Includes items such as belts, purses, bags, hats, etc.
Jewelry: Includes necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, etc.
Pet Clothing: Includes items that can be worn by a pet or any other animal.
Home Décor: items that are easy to move and make a home visually appealing, examples of home décor items include: throw pillows, table runner, or wall hanging.
Home Furnishings: items that make a home comfortable for living or working in. Examples include: couch, ottoman, chair, tables, desks, beds and the like.
Storyboards can be created using a digital platform including but not limited to Canva, Picmonkey, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and PowerPoint. All entries saved as a PDF, jpeg, jpg or png. Recommended size is 18” X 24”.

GUIDELINES
May enter any item constructed from fabric or textile material (ex: crochet, needlework). Entries may be garments that are not entered in the Fashion Show.
May enter any item constructed as an accessory to a garment
May be constructed from a pattern, a kit, or be an original design
Each participant is limited to one single item per entry division
Must have been made within the current year:
Any 4-H member who participated in their County 4-H Clothing & Textile project is eligible to participate
4-H member must attach 1 entry card per item
ENTRY DIVISIONS
Jewelry – earrings, necklace, etc.
Doll Clothing – made for any type of doll
Stuffed Animals – animal made from fabric and stuffed
Quilts – any size
Purses/Bags – any sewn purse or bag
Leather –made from leather
Household Item – examples: blanket (not quilt), pillowcase, rug, pillows
Kitchen Item – examples: pot holder, place-mat, apron
Embellished Item – purchased item that has appearance altered by use of embellishments. Can be textile item such as: tote with iron-on transfer applied, pillow with lace border sewn on.
Holiday Textile Item – holiday decorations. Any holiday item using fabric and/or other sewing notions. Examples: ornaments, tree skirts, pumpkins, Easter rabbits, etc.
AGE DIVISIONS
Clover Kids – Grades K-2 as of August 31, 2025
Junior – Grades 3, 4, and 5 as of August 31, 2025
Intermediate – Grades 6, 7, and 8 as of August 31, 2025
Senior – Grades 9-12 as of August 31, 2025
ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
Entries are due to the Guadalupe County Office by Mid March, 2026
(Awards will be handed out during the Guadalupe County Fashion Show ceremonies. This date is still to be determined. If you are unable to attend the awards ceremony, ribbons may be picked up at the Guadalupe County Extension Office at a later date.)
